If a summer breeze had a wardrobe, I’m 99% sure it would pick this outfit. I was off for some beachside drinks (aka chasing my toddler with a mocktail in hand), and wanted something cute, comfy, and sun-proof.
Enter: this floral cotton dream of a dress from Primark. It’s giving picnic-in-Provence but on a budget, which we love.
On my feet? H&M sandals that feel like walking on clouds, but don’t look like I’ve given up.
The hat—also H&M—is wide enough to block out both the sun and unsolicited parenting advice. Iconic.
The oversized bag from Gina Tricot is my parenting sidekick: I shoved in snacks, miniature dinosaurs and excavators and still looked like a woman who has it together.
Finished the whole thing with my current obsession: giant sunglasses from Primark. The bigger the frames, the less likely anyone will clock the fact that I’m running on 4 hours of sleep.
Beach drinks with a toddler in tow? 10/10 would recommend. Especially if you’re dressed like you’ve got your life (and diaper bag) together.
